Tinfou Desert 2 Days 1 Night

About

Tinfou is a town in the Draa River valley in the Drâa-Tafilalet region of southeastern Morocco. It is flanked by the mountain Tinfou from which the town is named after.

Itinerary

Day 1 Depart Marrakech – Ait Ben Haddou – Draa valley – Tinfou Dunes (Camel rides, dinner, night in the camp included)

Departure from Marrakech at 7am to the Sahara desert, towards the High Atlas via the Tizi n Tichka pass (2260m) going through Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah (The unesco world heritage site) made famous by movies and series including Lawrence of Arabia, Tea in the Sahara, Game of Thrones and Gladiator. Visit the fortified Kasbah, where you will also stop for lunch. In the afternoon you will continue onwards towards Ouarzazate, the door of desert, then on to Tinfou crossing the Anti-Atlas, the Berber village of Agdez and the Draa Valley with it’s procession of palm trees via Tomboctou.

Take a camel ride to enjoy the sunset and spend the night under a nomad tent. Dinner will be taken at the Berber camp.

Day 2 Tinfou Desert – Agdez – Ouarzazate – Tizi NTichka – Marrakech (breakfast included)

Waking early to see the sunrise and have breakfast. You will depart to Ouarzazate via the Agdez, Draa Valley (Lunch in Ourzazate) Then back to Marrakech via the High Atlas mountains in the afternoon.
