About
Ourika River is a river in Morocco, at 31.4°N 7.783333°W. It rises in the High Atlas and flows through the Ourika Valley, 30 km from Marrakech.
Itinerary
We will leave from your hotel/riad in Marrakech at 9am. After a short drive from Marrakech we will take the road along the Ourika Valley, then you enter through mountain villages and stop to see wondrous landscape. The first stop will be in a traditional house (Berber family). The family often open their home to visitors who wish to enjoy their surroundings. They will offer you tea and serve their local breakfast of bread, honey, butter and olive oil.
The second stop is where we will ride camels for half an hour deeper into the valley and then later continuing our journey driving to Setti Fatma, known for it’s 7 waterfalls. Walking around the valley you can take in the views of the green terraces surrounding the Atlas mountains, you will hike with a local guide to the first waterfall and then go for lunch in a Berber restaurant. You will return to Marrakech around 4pm.
