Ling Ling is the new hotspot to drink & dine in Marrakech. Located in the newly opened Mandarin Oriental Hotel on the Route du Golf Royal. [Part of the Hakkasan Group, with restaurants and nightclubs in London, Miami, Las Vegas and Shanghai to name but a few.] Described as Izakaya- translated as the roof with alcohol. Ling Ling promises “drink. dance. think without limitations…”
On arrival the first thought that hits me when I see the entrance is wow are we in Vegas?! The neon pink lights are shockingly bright and it certainly ticks the first box on show stopping appearance. Once inside you see the modern, sleek and stylish feel of Ling Ling, from its name sign to the long bar and its spacious rooms. This leads out to a beautiful terrace, with a good amount of seating. The view from here is spectacular, a giant lake with floating fire pits dotted around it, with the chilled out music playing. Gives a feel of sitting in a huge amphitheatre, watching a production play out right in front of you!
Ling Ling is the perfect place to meet with friends for drinks or enjoy a beautiful meal with your partner, whilst being transported to another world. One in which you feel chilled out, relaxed and very special indeed…
The speciality cocktails certainly lived up to the quality and appearance I would expect. The bar is well stocked with all the major top brands and the waiter service was excellent. The food comes as small plates, with the asian theme of Gyoza and noodles being the staple for dishes. The main idea is that the food accompanies the drinks and not the other way around, encouraging you to share dishes and experience the cantonese cuisine. I checked out the toilets, a must for all us ladies, again I was not disappointed. They were of a high standard, with a beautiful modern sofa to sit on to rest those tiring feet.
Ling Ling, Hakkasan’ little sister is certainly grabbing all the attention in Marrakech. A must visit, I predict a success in the making.
This is an amazing article. It gives a very detailed description from the very entrance to this amazing restaurant. The service, the food, the drinks, the décor. I could just imagine the elegance and eye catching features of Ling Ling. This will certainly be on my list of restaurants on my next visit to Marrakech.
